Angie joined Reviewed & Cleared in 2021. Angie is a highly experienced media content lawyer, who has been working for a variety of media organisations since 2010. Angie now advises broadcasters, production companies, podcast producers and publishers.

Prior to joining Reviewed and Cleared, Angie worked in the Content Legal team at Channel 5 where she advised on all legal issues and compliance with the Ofcom broadcasting code across all genres of programming. Often dealing with quick turnaround programmes, emergency services programmes, and sensitive true crime documentaries, many would involve complex legal issues, including privacy, duty of care and contempt of court. Angie has also previously worked in-house in the Legal and Compliance teams at Channel 4 and ITV, working across all their content, including their current affairs, daytime and live shows.

Angie’s vast experience enables her to understand all of the different needs of the different parts of the industry. Angie’s calm and measured approach enables her to give realistic and practical advice to all her media clients.

Angie has advised on a whole range of content for clients from established producers making factual and fictional dramas, feature films, complex factual documentaries, entertainment shows, emergency services docuseries, podcasts, audio books and as well as giving ad hoc advice for production companies with new projects.

Angie also has extensive experience in news reporting, gained from working at ITN, national newspapers and their respective online news sites, including DMG Media, GNM group, ESI Media. She regularly works in newsrooms advising journalists and editors at ITN, the Observer and Mail Online. Angie is also a regular lawyer on Reviewed & Cleared’s Legalmypage service.
