Tonia Cohen
Tonia established a dedicated in-house Neg Checking Team at ITV that provides clearance service for dramas produced by ITV. She has more than 20 years’ experience, having worked with household name broadcasters and independent TV and film production companies. Tonia joined Granada TV in 1995 as Compliance Manager and was responsible for ensuring that ITV programmes being produced in Manchester, such as Coronation Street, and CITV programmes and Granada Dramas complied with UK broadcasting rules governed by OFCOM and with relevant legislation.
In 2007 Tonia started Capello Media Solutions, providing a freelance neg checking service to a wide range of productions working on well-known films such as Slumdog Millionaire and The Imitation Games and a large range of TV dramas including, The Stranger, Years & Years, Bridgerton, Peaky Blinders, Des, The Trial of Christine Keeler, Car Share and Ghosts. Tonia's work for R&C includes Life (Drama Republic)and The Nest (Studio Lambert) and the feature films The Midnight Sky (Netflix) and The Duke (Pathe).
